Ok, so I don't aim to try and understand WOW, but this I do know, an epic mount cost a lot of gold, or at least that's what people tell me. This girl apparently cybered with some guy to get the mount and then is going to meet up with him later in real life so he can 'collect' the rest of his payment... WTF

I particularly enjoy the 'PUNKS' at the end of her response. She says it twice, in caps!!!! No holds barred here!
Considering the eBay value of that gold...he could have gotten a much hotter girl.

Huh, I wonder if she could be arrested for that. Is it really prostitution if she is getting paid with an intangible item? I know paypal doesnt cover mmorpg items/currency under their fraud protection aggreements. I wonder if the government has the same view?

That's scary ground you talking about.... that could relate to the discusion of whether the gold is taxable or not...

Having sex for any object of value, physical or not, is prostitution and receiving something of value for services rendered is considered income, so she's a nerdy, tax-evading whore.
reading off your shoebox of tickets josh?
heh turns out shes also a fairly cheap whore, i found 5000g for sale on lauging skull for about 200 bucks.
also, i wonder if this is that one moron who keeps crying about WoW addiction on CNN?

Well, according to your mentality, wouldn't everyone be a prostitute then? I mean if I buy a girl dinner and then sleep with her then it could be considered services rendered.

Gold prices also vary by server, though. PVP servers have higher prices than non-PVP servers, usually.
The problem with your analogy, Alex, is a lot of times the guy buys the girl dinner and she still doesn't put out. Hookers kinda have to.
yeah but that was the price on laughing skull, HER server! I still cant fathom this, how much of a whore do you have to be to fuck someone for a video game? not even a full video game, just a tiny part of a damn game.

I guess that could be like running an illegal casino.

Technically wouldn't that make it legal in a casino. Cause if you put down money for a chance to have sex with a women, it's no prostition. It's gambling. So it would be legal where gambling is legal. But I bet the odds would be horrible.

The services rendered part was in reference to the income part. If the girl had sex with you only because of the dinner, then, yes, that's prostitution.
so sex just for dinner = no
but buying dinner just for sex = yes?
sweet.
