Just wanted to know what everyone thought about a computer game called EVE online!

This game is so sweet!!! I give it 10 out of 10. I just can't stop playing it. In fact I'm playing it right now.

EVE is too high calibor to play on any laptops. Only fast computers with flat screens may be used, and i have both. Well, one of the anyway. Mohahahaha you will never get you flat screen back nacho!

OMG! Phil showed me that game, and if my computer wouldn't explode into a zillion pieces if I downloaded it, I'd get, and no one would see me for weeks I'd be playing it so much.

Yeah I've only heard good things about EVE online....Pygmy was a beta tester for it and I saw a really cool trailer for it. How was that Alex?

How's the lag for it over a narrowband/56k connection? Livable?

I've been playing Eve at about a 24k connection. Haven't had any noticeable lag yet. The only limiting factors are you definitely need a GeForce 2 or better, and the patches you need to download before you start the first time are about 16MB. Don't recommend that on dial-up. I downloaded mine over a friends cable connection from http://www.eve-online.com/patches.asp before I even bought the game. That kinda sped up the install. This is a game worth getting, even on dial-up. Hope Star Wars Galaxies runs as good as this on the old phone lines.

Yeah, on Galaxies...I'll found the first "R2-D2 Clan". Imagine the Sheer Terror and humiliation of being chased down and tasered to death by a dozen R2-D2s....

This game is definitely like crack. Paul needs to invest in this when he gets back. Then we'd have a nice team going.
