Well, the NDA has been lifted, so I can talk and post screenshots as much as I want to. Here's the status report:

It's definitely not ready to be released yet. I'm downloading the final patch now, but as of a few days ago, there were still quite a few bugs. I expect lots of patches during the first month, and it will probably be almost impossible to connect during the first couple days.

I'm still buying it the first day, since it's reserved, but a lot of people are planning on waiting.

This is what happed when EVE was released too. The first two weeks where really bugy and a pain in the ass, but things did get better. I think Star Wars will end up just like EVE in the end. Working but not well.

what the fuck? Grand Rapids????? Did you order from Gamestop??? Mine is in Ohio along with my 9700 pro. Should be here tomarow, or someone gets shot.

I think you're right steve. I didn't even get to play last night. I had to wait 3 hours for the patches to download. I tried to go on this morning, but the servers are all down until further notice. What a fucking jip.
